No more Nationwide?

Shame man. What of the folk who had plans to fly away this holiday? Now that Nationwide is no longer a legal eagle people have to scramble for new bookings.

I can’t really say I blame the Civil Aviation Authority for closing them down. I would never have flown Nationwide anyway. I’d rather fly Kulula or Mango but Nationwide and 1Time freaked me out too much.

That was even before the engine-falling-off-the-plane debacle. I don’t know why I thought that way but it just never seemed safe. Perhaps I’m just a snob.

Anyway, I hope the passengers can somehow sort their stuff out. Happy holidays!

Hey dude..hows things???? I only travelled 1time, and British airways, or SAA..I once travelled Nationwide and the turbulence was so bad i nearly wet myself!!! really! I have never had a problem with 1 time – kulula gets hijackers, mango loses ur bags and Nationwide, well, we all know what they do..or what they dont do!! If i travel for work, i have to fly BA, we have some kind of contract with them.. always a pleasure!!!

We have Easy Jet and Ryan Air over here and I always fear for my life when I fly them. But I’m too cheap not too 😉

Kash, I know what you mean about BA. They are, indeed, the best. Better than SAA too. I dunno about 1time hey…they’re kinda in the same league as nationwide in my head. but i could be totally wrong!
Miss M – I hear what you’re saying but if there’s one thing I’m not willing to skimp on it’s air travel. A person can survive car crashes and stuff like that but what are the chances of living if you’re plunging to a fiery death from icy heights? Oe nee dankie vir daai!

I’ve never flown Nation Wide either…
Shame, I feel sorry for everyone who had tickets booked with them for the festive season – there’s no way you’ll get a seat on another flight now.

so what do you guys think of Lufthansa? It’ll be my first flight with them in a few days.

That’s terrible man, when school holidays start too. 1time isn’t too bad to fly though, my mother loves them because of their “leather” seats but they didn’t do themselves a favour in my mind giving themselves that name – it just doesn’t inspire confidence.

I only fly 1time, they give the best service and always win the best low cost airline awards. Kulula freaks me out, once had an emergency decompression onboard and they went into a scary dive.

I agree, psychotic cow – the name almost says, “hey, let’s do this once…you never know if you’re going to do it again…”
Kulula is cool for me, Mike. Whenever I fly with them I get bumped up to a BA flight, so perhaps that’s why I like them! 🙂
MrsM, don’t really know about Lufthansa but I think they’re definitely above board.

MrsM – Lufthansa are a really really good airline. The Germans know how to fly well 🙂 Have a wonderful flight!
