Get it right

People, people, people: we CANNOT talk about an HIV-woman if we want to help those who need it.
When a reporter, in the main news bulletin on TV, speaks of an “HIV-woman” I want to crack the screen.
She is HIV positive. She is not an HIV woman.
Seriously, how can reporters educate others if they have no clue themselves?

    etv.
AND, not only did they do that, later on in the bulletin they had a story about the annual running of the bulls and someone who died.

But, dearest Kash, where do you think their bulls ran? In Mexico. I kid you not.

They said the “annual running of the bulls in Mexico”. I nearly peed in my pants I was laughing so much.

All i can say is LMIMP..typical..its mos “free on e”. I dont always like watching teh sabc news cos jirre dit bly net Presidents Thabo Mbeki voor and Anc agter..but their professionalism is so much better..

Ja, although the president’s itinerary, as you say, puts me off so I rather go through with the etv thing. Fortunately I also read three newspapers a day plus online news. So I don’t rely ONLY on tv news. But just think how many people do… *Toby feels sad*

I know…i also read about three and then all news websites and news wires…so i kinda already know what’s going on when i watch it..

I wish everyone could have access to that kind of news. Where they can see the BS the SABC feeds us and the incorrect stuff etv feeds us.

I always thought E-tv’s slogan was “yesterday’s news today?” am i wrong?

  8. kash99 said,

    that is correct…

Not always, lostinjozi. Only on weekends, I think, do they really live up to that motto. They’re certainly much better than the sabc.
