Smelling a rat

August 7, 2007 at 9:13 am (Manto, politics)

I smell a rat. A garlic-scented, beetroot coloured, African potato-shaped rat.
The “outing” of the deputy minister of health’s trip is nothing short of cheap political shots.
It’s indicative of a minister who has long lost her marbles but is intent on destroying anything and everything good that happened while she got a new liver.
I shudder to think what would happen if Manto’s madness goes even further. And, even more scarily, if the prez once again gives her her way.
Not only would it  show his inability to listen to reason, it would also show him to be dumb, which I don’t think he is.
But the way things work in this country sometimes…well, let’s just say I’m not holding my breath that any lily-livered folk will listen to reason.

You are absolutely 100% right. Politics, politics politics!
Hang all the politicians from the nearest lampost, I say!

Except the good ones, Jostinjozi. Like Nozizwe…she’s a keeper.
