It’s official. I’ll never be able to afford a house, at least if the figures from those smartminded Absa dudes who know how to crunch a number. Unless my salary somehow, by some miracle, jumps to R40 000 or more, I’ll never have the house I want.
And by the time I’m earning R40 000 I’ll need to be earning R80 000. Damn.
But ag, at least I’ll be ok if I decide to just pack up and go. No worrying about bonds and debt; no agonising about housesitters or renters if I decide to head to the glorious North. That’s my silver lining, ok, and I’m sticking to it. Much better to have a silver lining than grey cement… Sigh.

    u could..but i forgot that u work for media 24..the company that can actually afford to pay a person that much..but doesnt..Mark once freelanced for them, they paid him R250 a day (before tax) nee, a, pathetic!!!
