Things that don’t really go bump

May 23, 2007 at 8:28 am (annoying, private personal space)

Maybe I’m the only one but I suspect I’m not. There are just a few things that tick me off. Apart from the occasional Patricia de Lille comment, an insurance blip and a government department run-in, these are the things that keep my ticked-off meter running.– Toilet paper glue. Why must it be so hard to use a new one?
– Hard plastic that sheaths things like razors, electric toothbrushes, hair removal cream, etc. You can’t tear it and you have to cut the whole damn thing because it’s too tough to rip.
– Snails that come out in full force after the rain.
– When someone reads my newspaper before me and doesn’t arrange it in the way it was before I get to it.
– Restaurants that don’t ask if you want cream in your cappuccino. I hate cream.
– Feta cheese in salad.
– Light bulbs that die.
– Light bulbs that die in the bathroom while you’re taking a shower.
– Any place that doesn’t have a credit card machine. I hate ATMs and having to draw cash.
– People who preach the word to me without asking if it’s welcome.
– People who, at a robot, stop so close to me it looks like they want to get into my boot.

I’ve just realised these are all trivial and I’m a spoilt brat. I’m sure there’s much more I could add to this list though…
